Wood Pellet

Wood pellet is a fuel obtained from virgin wood, sometimes starting from processing waste, such as planing, sawdust or scraps, other times from the whole log. The binding capacity of the lignin, contained in the wood, allows to obtain a compact product without adding additives and chemicals extraneous to the wood, obtaining a high-yield fuel.

In the production process, the raw material is selected in advance, dried and cleaned of impurities, to obtain a constant quality, with a well-defined residual humidity; the preparation also involves a selection of more tender wood species (firs, conifers) and a certain qualitative and dimensional homogeneity; the greater accuracy of this preparation translates into a better quality of the finished product and less energy consumption for production.
