Corn pellet are an excellent alternative to wood pellets thanks to the characteristics of maize, with its very compact and homogeneous grains in size. Furthermore, corn pellets can be processed in the same way as wood pellets. To become a good fuel, once ready and packaged it is left to mature in a dry and dry place, to avoid the formation of mold and the accumulation of moisture that could compromise its calorific value.
With 6,000 kWh / kg and a humidity of about 15%, the calorific value of the corn pellet is about 30% higher than that of the wood pellet. Corn, but also pomace and sunflower, emit zero carbon dioxide during combustion, which means zero pollution.
